How much does an electric UTV cost? It is one of the first questions hunters ask, and it deserves a straight answer. Whether you call it an electric hunting buggy or an electric hunting UTV, these machines run from the mid-teens to past $30,000, and the sticker alone doesn't tell you much. What matters is what you get: the tires, the camo, whether the machine was built for hunting ground from day one, and what it costs to keep running. Here is an honest look at electric hunting UTV cost, with Trail Buggy® pricing laid out model by model.
Trail Buggy® electric hunting UTVs are priced by model:
Two options cover most add-ons: the winch bundle ($1,500) and the 165 Ah battery upgrade ($900). Delivery is quoted separately based on where you are. Build time is about 8 weeks. You can see the full breakdown on our pricing page.
Two "electric hunting" machines can still be very different. These are the things that move the price:
Every Trail Buggy® starts with the same purpose-built base:
The 2WD is built for established trails and open ground. It is the lowest price of entry to the full Trail Buggy® platform, with the same tires, camo and standard equipment.
The 4WD adds a dual-motor drive for mud, hills and soft ground. For $3,000 more than the 2WD, it is the pick for wet bottoms, creek banks and steep climbs.
The 4WD XL keeps the 4WD drive and adds an extended chassis and extra seating, with a row of forward-facing seats. It suits hunters who bring family along or land managers who carry more people. Not sure which drive you need? Our guide to 2WD vs 4WD electric hunting Buggies walks through it by terrain.
A common build:
A 4WD XL with both options comes to $32,300 before delivery. You can pick your camo pattern, seat color, bed and other choices on our build order page.
Many hunters start their search with hunting golf carts, and lifted, converted and cart-class 4x4 hunting carts fill most of those results. Current dealer listings from competitors put cart-class 4x4 lithium hunting carts around $16,500, and budget electric utility vehicles sit on lots at roughly $15,000 to $16,000. So the cart class generally lands in the mid-teens.To be fair, many cart-class machines advertise independent suspension, disc brakes and lithium batteries, too, so those features alone don't explain the price gap. The difference is in the tires, the camo and the design. Some cart-class machines run 23" tires; every Trail Buggy® runs 25" 8-ply ATV/UTV tires. Cart camo is often a wrap or dipped panels; Trail Buggy® camo is licensed and hydro-dipped over the entire body. And a lifted cart starts from a golf cart platform, while a Trail Buggy® is a purpose-built electric hunting UTV.If you are weighing the two, read our golf cart vs UTV for hunting guide.
At the other end, full-size premium electric UTVs have generally started in the mid-$20,000s and climbed past $30,000 depending on trim and battery. They are a different, wider size class, which matters on tight timber trails.Other hunting-focused electrics from competitors land roughly between $20,000 and $33,000. Trail Buggy®'s $23,900 to $29,900 band sits inside that range, with 25" 8-ply tires, licensed camo and a 58" width standard on every model.
The purchase price is only part of the cost.
